I am having trouble with a leaking fuel filter housing. I bought a new filter and rubber washer because the old one was leaking a little and since the replace I am having the same issues. My question is does anyone have a hack for this to make the seal better? I really don't want to order a new glass housing.

Is this where you have basically 3 pieces that go together, the housing, the filter and the glass bowl, and the filter has to seal on both ends? If so I use one tractor that had that setup. It has two filters, one had a glass bowl and the other is metal, but the filter itself it the same in both. I never could get the seal in the glass correctly and wound up replacing the glass bowl with the metal one made for the other filter.

The leak is probably NOT at the seal where the glass bowl mates to the filter/valve unit. It is probably were the inlet or outlet coupling enters/exits the unit. I have repaired several like that and the owners had tried new fuel line and new "O" ring and all that. One guy said his had dripped for years!
