O I have another question that I need assistance with... My fuel filter is leaking. Not a lot but enough to stain the ground when the tractor is parked.

The leak seems to be coming from the valve on top of the filter housing.

Anyone have any idea how to fix this?

I have not started to play with it at all.

I had to replace my filter one time because of a leak at the same place. May be just an o ring that you can change though.

If it is the O ring fine... It looks like the leak is coming for the top at the shutoff valve. Is there an O ring in that valve?

To even try to fix it I would need to remove the filter unit and take it apart. I guess I need to learn how to bleed the fuel system.

What else do I need to know? Or try?

Bleeding in no problem. I just put the glass bowl on but leave it loose. Turn the key on and the pump will fill it up. When fuel starts running out the top tighten it up and then start the engine.

Nice! That I can do.
I should have some time this weekend to take a look at it.

Just from what I remember... I am guessing that there is either a worn O-ring or the valve is loose. Hopefully nothing too subtle or difficult.

On mine there is a screw on the top of the filter base that I can loosen to bleed the air from the system. Yours may be the same way.

Here is the filter unit. At the top just under the valve control is a small screw. This is what holds the valve control in place. The fuel has been leaking from under the valve control so I loosened that screw and allowed the control to pop up a bit until fuel gushed out. I popped the control back in and tightened the locking screw. Now I wait and watch. I ran the tractor for about an hour and didn't have much leaking. It may have helped. Time will tell.
