I have leaks from 2 hydraulic hoses on my JD 440 loader. I/m hoping its just the hoses, but worried it could be something else.
The leaks are squirting and seeping thru the hoses. The hose on the left (head-end bucket cylinder) squirts out; the hose on the right (rod-end lift cylinder) leaks, but not as much pressure. There are no leaks from hose fittings, or anywhere else that I can see. The bucket functions normally.
The tractor is not not stored under a cover, so I guess it could be sun damage, but I'm concerned that something else may be going on, since 2 hoses have these symptoms, not just one.
Should I just replace the hoses? (I'll replace them all) or ? I replaced all the rest of the loader hoses just a few years ago; these 4 are the only ones I haven't done yet.
