Howdy,

Just picked up my new 3030 - delivered last Friday. :D

Dealer service has already fixed a loose fitting in the BH75 boom and
also replaced a bad hose (right stabilizer retract) on the BH75, seemingly
sealing all my "rear" hyd. system leaks.

Dealer failed however to fully seal the plate/take-off up front that feeds
hyd. pressure to the FEL valve. It "weeps" (or leaks slowly - take your pick).

Any thoughts on this - besides "have them come back and fix it"

Thanks.

Jim

That plate seals with an O-ring like rubber seal. The plate may just need to be tightened. It's only 2 bolts holding it on. You should be able to check and do this yourself.

In regards to the BH75 backhoe, I had a similar problem with mine. I noticed oil all over the large plates supporting the swing pin and thought I may have spilled some out of the hoses when I hooked it up. I cleaned them up and in 20 minutes it was dripping off the plates again. I traced the leak to the control valve block under the right joystick (curl). A trip to the dealer later, they discovered the washers covering the O-rings at that control piston was bending the washer and consequently squirting oil out. Their fix is to double the washers at that point to prevent the bending and resultant oil leak. I have yet to try it but it sounded reasonable to try. May want to consider it as suggestion. I hope it works, I am now considering the B21 though, rats! (third warranty item on this tractor, BTW) B2630, L403 FEL and BH 75

Thanks, I checked that.

They came, opened the connection, cleaned some paint off it and
retightened it - it still weeps, it needs a new seal most likely.

Thanks for the ideas though.

Time for me to pony up for the parts and repair manuals as I'd like to have
the actual torques for each fastener. Have torque wrench - will travel :D

BH75 problem was solved by replacing the upper right stabilizer hose which
was defective under the braided sheath. Big pimple in the hose where
fluid had worked it's way thru a faulty inner liner of the hose.

Replaced w/ a generic replacement made at a local hose place.

I'll replace it later on w/ an actual Kubota hose with the right formed end.
