I learned today that there is a John Deere 415. I always thought there was just the 425, 445, and 455 in the series. But apparently there is also a 415. I looked it up and it has a 15hp yanmar diesel in it. Does anyone know anything about these?

Did you find a good used one? I haven't ever seen one in person, might have been a poor seller.

No but they have it listed at tractor data.com. I'm thinking maybe they were sold in Europe and Australia. It would be nice if John Deere would sell these in the US. It might give Kubota some more competition in there diesel lawn tractors.

To be honest, I have never seen a "415" Deere either and when I saw the Tech manual for the 425-455 on ebay, a few had "415" on the cover as well and always thought it was a typeo from the printer.

I guess, if the "415" exsist, and has the 15hp Yanmar Diesel, it would have been the replacement to the 16hp Diesel 332. Must have been a poor seller or not sold in North America.

The 415 is listed on tractordata.com so it had to have existed. Maybe just not in the US

Built in Horicon, WI.

Why wouldn't it have been sold here? Test marketing maybe.

Does appear that the used ones listed are in Europe, and other hits indicate Eureope sales too.

Wonder why they can't sell it on this side of the pond?

They sold the 455 diesel instead of the 415 model.
Don't know, but suspect there were specs for the 415 different from the model 455.
Anyone see the difference between the two? Smaller hp diesel for one.

All of the 400 series tractors (415, 425, 445, 455) were all the same exact tractors, frame, size, and transmission. They just have different engines.
