Hello again everyone!
Well, Since I have put some "Extra" lighting on my tractor "JD4300" I want to upgrade the standard headlamp GE-885 with LED or HID. I bought some LED lights online, plugged them in and they look nice in color to match the rest of the tractor but are about as bright as some people at the place I used to work, meaning "they suck". I have a 30 inch Rigid mounted to my ROPS, and that eliminates the need for headlights anyway. Sometimes too bright!!! I'll get some pics up soon. Any suggestions would be appreciated!

ok, good photos of what you did. It all looks good to me...I'm a little confused.
Do you like the way things turned out? Exactly what light are you looking for suggestions and do you want it brighter, or dimmer?

paulcapasso, the led light bar looks great.

OK...

You added extra LED's to rear..happy with those

You added extra LED's to front, happy with those

You added a long LED light bar to ROPS, happy with that, if anything, too much light

You want to change out the OEM headlights to match the LED's you added

The headlight LED's you tried are insufficiently bright although you have multiple extra switched high and low bright LED forward facing light sources which, on occasion, your forward facing light is "too bright.".

Me, I adjust the amount of forward light on my RTV with a light bar by switching it on and off.

I guess you are solving a cosmetic concern for your weak headlights which are blocked by the FEL load of wood, as shown in your photo.

I dunno, I'm out of ideas, perhaps a Deer owner who has faced the same problem will have some.

I'm just marking this so I can look more later. I need to go to work now. I spent some time in John Deere parts and noticed some interesting things with part numbers between a 4300 and a 4410. Will do more research later and post.

Ah- must be one of those guys who likes to wear sunglasses at night? Those Deere's must have some kind of alternator!

Ok so here is what I noticed. 4300 bulb part number is M807906. About $3. 4410 head lamp bulb is part number 57M7166. A little more expensive at around $12. A replacement head lamp part number is AM120326 left and AM120327 right. Only $45 each cough cough.

The interesting part is when you do a where used search on those two headlamp assembly's and they both are listed for a 4300 and a 4410. John Deere must have upgraded the headlamp assembly's at some point in time. I don't know if the new ones have a bulb or not.

So I did a google search typing in "M807906 LED" and came up with this tread http://www.tractorbynet.com/forums/...ing/264233-headlight-bulb-type-4x00-4x10.html and there is your answer right here on TBN!

Btw John Deere's alternators are marginal with more lights. LED's use less power and make more light so it's a win win that way.

Just edited the link and some grammar.

Pmsmechanic, Thanks for doing the research! I cant access the page. Basically and I did not specify that I drive this on the road to my friends houses from time to time and when on the street, all the LED's are way too bright. I just want to upgrade the headlights to 1100 or so lumens LED to match. the current headlights are kinda dim. So basically, the bulb I'm looking for is a 885 which cross references to 880, 881 and a few others. Finding LEDs that perform like halogen are not that easy. I'm just looking to find someone who has them already. My current lighting has switches for the front lower LED's and the ROPS bar. the rears are on all the time with headlights and taillights and off with blinkers. The total current draw from the LED's is 9.35 amps. It would be a lot more if I used halogen. Everything is relay fed from the battery using the very undersized work light wires in the back for Relay trigger. I also want to upgrade the Dash to PC194 LED replacement but with LED, you need to have the color led for the icon on the dash. for example, signal lights green, Green LED. PTO light amber, Amber LED. If you use white LED on colored overlay it will be different color or not bright.
