Left Rear axle seal on massey ferguson gc2300

I recently was gifted a mf gc2300.
The left rear axle seal is leaking. I purchased a massey ferguson shop service manual but it's not really clear if I can replace the left rear axle seal without removing transmission. It seems that the right side is easier than left. Unfortunately it's the left leaking.
Any info would be greatly appreciated!

Might get a better response in the MF forum...

THis diagram from the MF GC2300 parts book pretty much shows there is 2 snap rings deep inside the differential.... Indication to me that you are going to have to split the case (rightside) to get access to left side axle....

I can't really offer anything more but I'm curious.

How many hours on the tractor?

How bad is the leak?

It has a little over 851hrs on it.
It's leaking fairly bad. There doesn't seem to be any side to side or up and down play on the axle. I also dont see any damage to the seal after i removed the wheel. Other than this seal problem it runs great and was always kept inside. This gc2300 came with a house my daughter and son in law bought. They gave it to me recently. Their house is on a very steep slope. I was thinking that may have wore the seal. The old guy they bought the place from bought it new.
Hopefully I can replace the seal myself. I'm just a poor old country boy! Lol.
