Anyone have an idea where to find legal forms online? Such as wills, living wills, power of attorney, etc?
Are they state specific? Wouldn't seem like it, but who knows!
Thanks for any help offered!

Scruffy, I don't know where you'd find such on the Internet (but bet they're there). I have "Family Lawyer '99" which is a cheap program from Parsons Technology that has those forms, and yes, in many cases they are state specific, so the first question you answer in the program is which state you live in. I did my parents' wills with it (no problem with probate court when dad died), and I've done a power of attorney for my mother and brother so he could handle a legal matter for her and everything went smoothly.

Hey, Scruffy, I just did a quick search for "legal forms" and found several sites including this one: http://www.legal-forms-kit.com/ See if it has what you want.

Bird,
Thanks Sir! Now why didn't I think of that word combination! Brain must be hittin' close to empty I guess. I appreciate it, I am trying to make sure everything is 'good to go' for the spouse.
Weird thing about that site, 3 times in a row, as I tried to back out of it, it killed my explorer, and I had to reboot! Maybe I need a last will for my PC! /w3tcompact/icons/laugh.gif

Scruffy, Bird -

I also have Family Lawyer and have used it on numerous occasions to create legal documents, mostly on behalf of my mother. So far they've all passed muster with notary publics, banks, hosipitals and such.

I have that version too Bird and it is a good one. Lots of explanations with the forms as well.

Bird, Harv, cowboydoc, and Dianne, I just (this morning) bought Family Lawyer 2001 from Parsons Technology (online) for $19.00 w/free prescription drug resource book (or software). Figured what the hey, y'all couldn't be wrong. It will do the trick I'm sure. All I want to cover is whats left, and the divvy up! Of course the spouse wants complete control too, which she will get with the Power of Attorney. /w3tcompact/icons/laugh.gif She's been trying for that for years! /w3tcompact/icons/laugh.gif/w3tcompact/icons/smile.gif
