Which Posthole digger for Yanmar 1610D?
Leinbach L7200JR or L7200?

Looks like the Linebach is in my price range and it will be used only occasionally. From other threads here i have learned that i should buy Lowes replacement bit cutters.

The JR is advertised as being for compact tractors. But i dont need the narrower mount pins that the JR provides. Im not sure about lift range. My tractor has lower arms that are 24 long (between front and back eyes). Max lift is about 29 from ground (to eye center).

I cant find recommended HP range for either unit. It is not on the Linebach web site.

I would go with the 7200, the boom on the JR is shorter and you won't have as much ground clearance on the auger. I don't stock the JR for this reason.

My 1500D will turn the JR with out much of a problem. Dug out about 150 holes with it. The one thing I have to say is if the ground is hard have plenty of back up bits or you will be spending a fair amount of time in the seat. I found that you can take a 4 foot pipe and use it as a cheater bar on the hook at the top of the gear box. A heavy wife come in handy for this. Oops did I say that!
