Lenar tractor

Im wondering where Lenar tractors are made. I have a customer at te shop that took one in on a partial trade. Im going to instal a loader on it for him and fix the ROPS. THe rops got dented when a tree blew down on it. He didnt know anything about it just allowed 1500 for the man on trade for a boat. I also have a few other things to do to it. Ive heard India but Im not sure. Its a decent looking tractor. The previous owner told my customer that he couldnt get an air filter for it. I have one off a small fork lift I will fit to it.

Mahindra purchased most of the company. They were made in China but may have been moved to India. They were sold by Mahindra under the 2525 model. You may be able to get parts through them for it. A little over a year ago a distributor for them in Texas closed and auctioned off a few tractors and a lot of parts. A friend was telling me about the sale but didnt know the outcome of it.

I was at the auction for the bankruptcy of the last North American dealer/distributor/importer of Lenar. Great people, but they got hosed by the widely varying quality of product coming from the factory. They did not build enough reserves into the pricing to take care of all the problems. The lemons sunk the Lenar business, and unfortunately sunk their original business of Agriculture Feed/Chemical/Fertilizer distribution.

Thanks for the replies He has already had problems with it. He has a an old JD 970 but he kept the Lenar he got on a trade for his cabin tractor. He has been offered his money back by a man wanting it for parts.
