Lets talk round balers

I still have and use the First Roller I got. A 1978 GEHL 1500A (two of them). Out of date and speed since the early 80s I have found them to be very cheap to use and fix most parts are off the shelf for self repair. The closed throat roller is a reminder of the age otherwise I am able to roll about 400 good sized rolls a year with very little expense or problems. I dont know what I will buy when the parts supply evaporates.

The way AGCO buys companies or lines, I'm surprised they haven't purchased the Gehl Ag line.

Yeah, it's a wonder. But I guess they figure they dodn't need them since they already have the New Idea and Hesston hay and forage equipment line. I'm sure all the hay and forage equipment companies are happy about Gehl dropping the line because thats just one less competitor.
