I have a three point carry all and I am using it for a boomless sprayer.I put two fifty five gallon drums on it and a 12 volt pump and it works fine. If it is setting on the ground and I hook up, by the time I raise the platform to the height I want. The back is pointing downward at a severe angle. Then I have to turn the toplink in to get it level. Works fine until I need to unhook and it is not empty. I can't turn the toplink with that much weight on it.

I welded two pieces of angle iron and a 28" long piece of 3" square tubing the bottom back of the carryall frame to make a permanent stand for it, so that when I raise it up it does not drop in back. But I have to think I'm doing something wrong...

I put my top link in the very bottom hole on the tractor but the carryall still doesn't stay at a consistent angle.

It won't ever stay exactly the same at different heights. The best you can do is change the height of the top link point on the carryall or tractor so the top link is parallel to the lower links at one position. It won't stay parallel as the top link is usually quite a bit shorter than the lower links.

If the rear points down as you lift, the carryall top mount is probably too low. Top pin centerline should be 18 inches above the lower pin centerline. (15 in for a quick hitch)

BCP got it right. If you must have it level in all positions, consider adding a hydraulic top link so you can adjust it from the seat as needed.

I thought maybe it was just me. I need a hydraulic top link. But for now I guess I will just use my prop. It looks funny setting on the ground with the back way up, but at least it is level when at carrying height..
Just came back from the dentist. I broke a tooth he says I need a crown, $900.00. Won't be buying a hydraulic top link for a while...

Actually there is a way to do it but you would probably have to modify the top link mount position.

I did this when I build my rear frame for my rear pallet forks. The frame is level when on down and still level when I raise it up.

I swear I found a really good picture illustrating how to do this but can't find it for the life of me now.

I can't really explain it well but has to do with parallelogram's and I believe the most important thing was to keep the top link parallel to the bottom links and a certain distance between them.

I’ve wondered about this situation too…
Seems like the actual solution …is tractor design with top link attachment point directly above the lifting arm pivot point.
If all three were in the same vertical plane then as the arms lift …the upper link would move upward equally with them. Think folding steps or trolling motor mount on fishing boat.
