leveling lot

I would like to know if this will work.
I want to level my 1.5 acre lot with my BX 2200
and a box scroper.
Here is the problem. I want to bring in some sandy fill
to level some of the lower spots. I have a farmer friend
who will bring in this fill for free and drop it on my lawn in piles
Now can I knock down these piles with a box scraper and level them out or will i need a front or rear blade to knock them down and then level with the scraper.
i do not have a scraper or blade. right now but i do plan on buying the scraper in the next week and i do hope i am able to do all the work with the scraper. so i will not need a blade.

A box scraper will do this with no problem. Just back onto the pile as far as you can safely, lower the box and drive forward. OR Drive in reverse toward the edge of the pile. You'll figure out pretty quick how much you can push at one time. Either way will work just be patient and the pile will disappear before your eyes.

The box blade will do it, it just may take a little time. The photo attached here shows what we did last week around a tree stand that had several high spots from previous road and land clearing operations. They had pushed up piles of dirt and knocked down trees.

We took large chunks and drug them out with the box and once it was "sort of level" started the round and round with the box. Just be patient.

Where did you find that much topsoil in FL? Come to think of it I do seem to remember a lot of dirt roads in Dade City.

This land hasn't been touched in years. Just a lot of of stuff has layed there and decomposed over the years. I am hoping this means we will have great success in having a lawn come in easily as well as anything else we plant.

And this land is on one of many Dade City (Pasco Cty) dirt roads.

Sure it will work with the box scraper although you might want to distribute the piles with an fel before the leveling. After a few passes with the scraper you'll know how to adjust the 3 pt with the knob below the seat that will allow the scraper to fall slowly to the right height. That way you won't overload the scraper and lose traction with the BX.
