L35 with bt900 backoe and box scraper + grader blade
Today I was trying to remove my backhoe from my L35 and the disengage lever was really stuck. I pulled and tugged then finally I got movement except the whole lever broke off! Now im in a bigger dilema. I have to find someone to weld this back on. I cant figure out why the lever wouldnt budge in the first place however.

common problem, where the lever passes through the bracket, siezes up after a while, gotta keep it lubed. once you get it welded back on apply heat, you'll see where, and work it back and forth till it frees up enough to remove the back-hoe. Then you can get at it better and lube it up real good.
remember to keep up with the lube. Twice a year should be sufficient.

Boy I wish I would of listened better to you Kubmech..Went to do a quick disconnect of the backhoe on my L35 today so I can put the 3pt hitch together and use that and that 1/2 hour or whatever job still isn't complete. I have been hitting it, using a pipe wrench, penetrating oil, & heat and still nothing. I did actually use some spray oil on this spot before but will end up if I ever get it off will drill and tap the handle assemble as it fits on the post and put a nice grease fitting there along with on teh loader auto level feature linkage---which was already mention before and I just never got to that either..../w3tcompact/icons/frown.gif...This is just a note for the other L35 owners to do the preventive maintenance like is mentioned and not slack like my dumb_ss. /w3tcompact/icons/smile.gif. ALso any other suggestions would be appreciated if any other options are available.

woooohoooooo- got the backhoe off after breaking the lever off fianally. Question--are the hydraulic fittings in teh back supposed the be the same size so when removing the backhoe you just have to put the supply back into the return line????? Had to change a couple fittings because they were different. Went to put the 3pt hitch on and of course missing parts #@$@#$@#$@#$. Went to local dealer for missing parts- lifting arm---$130 WOW!!!! Neadless to say didn't buy it but did get the front axle Super UDT along with the front axle seals so I can try and change them. Service man said you should be able to do that and hey if not bring in all the parts and we will put it back. O.K. /w3tcompact/icons/smile.gif

I have the B21, so this response is for how it works.

They should be the same size. The Tractors hydraulic hose (inlet) connects to coupler of the return pipe on the tractor. The backhoe's return hose stays with the hoe and is plugged with a cap. The hoses don't couple together. Did you look under, around, and everwhere in between for the three point hardware. On the B21 they are stored on the loader arms and under the floor right and left..

Al,

The next time I'm in the barn I will most definitely check because that is one heck of a price for a piece of linkage. I will also check other stores. These fittings on teh backhoe must have been changed because they had longer noses and just plain ole wouldn't fit. If it crosses my mind I may buy the same size for next change time. Shoot now I can't get release handle part off the pin that I wanted to put a zerk in that unhooks the backhoe...back and forth and back and forth/w3tcompact/icons/smile.gif. AHHHHHHH but some good news (talking to myself) thougth the key shutoff solenoid was bad for the last 6 months and the hazzards switch too. Tonight was playing with my multi meter and didn't have power blah, blah, blah. Like was metioned before (but was slacking again) take fuses and check contacts..Well did and when I put back in the 4 ways works. SWEET! Then continued down on teh fuse block and saw the last one was corroded back and part was gone. Put new 15 amp fuse in and thought what the heck try to shut just the key off this time and the engine quite. woooohooooo. So anyway got some good feelings and still hurting from all the abuse I'm taking trying to get this lever handle fixed.

Well no such luck in finding the 3pt hitch lifting arm on or under or anywhere on the L35. /w3tcompact/icons/frown.gif Darn it anyone got one laying around that you want to get rid of??/w3tcompact/icons/smile.gif

The release block the lever is connected to on my used L35 that came with a broken lever, always needs a gentle tap on side of the block the lever is connected to, for its leading edge to line up for moving backward into its release position. Was catching in there and just a gentle tap uncatches it and moving the lever is then almost effortless.
