am trying to find any info i can on a montana lg 4740 as i may be buying without inspecting in person so any help is good. type of tranny are the standard shuttle is pto independent who makes motor or should i avoid it altogether it has a cab and price is low in past i have always avoided b an c grade items due to parts and of course resale have stuck with deere and massey as i can always get parts for them the masseys have given great service and great resale an was planning to buy a new 1652 cab one but this lg i could buy for a fraction of massey cost if the lg turns out to be a pig of course i could always resale it parts are my main issue with it.

I was going to buy one but when I heard the deal fell threw with Branson to build here. I lost interest and bought a new mccormick which is the same tractor but built here .I'm very happy with the tractor and the service is great.They come to my door or tractor to fix it.There is a deal right now with mccormick.check out their website.I got a ct50u loaded for under 30000.00 zero down ,zero interest for 84 months

I have a LG4940C that I have had for almost 4 years now. It's got a Mitsubshi engine and gets the 50hp without a turbo charger. The fact that JD needed a turbo to get 50 hp was the swing factor in the deal for me. I prefer no turbos as they cost major $ when they go. My Montana is blue and has the LG Montana on the hood. LG is now called LS out of Korea, so parts are pretty easy and reliable.
My tractor had the gas tank leakage problem and a bad hydraulic cylinder which was fixed under warranty when I bought it. Other than that mine has been a great tractor.
My dealer went out of business a while ago and I need a new rear window for mine which is a source of concern for me right now and Montana does not sell parts on line. So if anyone knows where I can get the rear window for a 4940C please let me know. The last price I have for it was $215 plus shipping.
If you can get the 4740 at a good price I'd get it. They are basically really good tractors and work well.
