Ok , I am going to open myself up for some good old fashioned ribbing here

I have had the licence plate for the tractor since last week and I can't see an obvious place for it to bolt on . I even went so far as to look at pics on the web and nothing . Not a thing in the manual either . I don't think the RCMP are going to like me going down the road without a plate ! Is this a case of fashion it yourself ?
Thanks .

License plate on a tractor or do you mean triangle? In NY we don't need to license our tractors but if Canada is getting away with it New York could follow. NY has never met a fee they didn't like.

amarsh64,

I'm not sure about the law in Canada, but couldn't you just attach it to the bottom of the SMV triangle?? I would try calling the local police department and see what they have to say about it. :2cents: Good luck.

can't have both ... either plate or triangle ... if you mount the plate , it must have be illuminated at night....

Do any neighbors have a tractor? Only someone from your province can tell you where a license plate must be mounted. MOST locations here in the USA do not require a license plate on a tractor.

OK, sorry, I'm not aware of the regulations on that in Canada. As from my last post, probably be best to check with Local Police or License Office to be safe. :2cents:

couldn't agree more ... but to tell the truth , I wouldn't trust anything "verbal" .... get the actual "act" in writing .....

for an example .... up here , truckers are exempt from using tarps when hauling topsoil ... but can still be charged with having an unsecured load , if any blows off .... ( just goes to show you that you are a criminal no matter what you do ):confused3:

All good points . I don't have the triangle yet .(my dealer was all out when the sale was made ) I think I will just call Service Canada and ask a few questions . And yes Coby ,I could use it for a cosmetic gasket in a pinch
Thanks for all the input !
