So what did you do with your old seat after the replacement?
The old seat is really comfortable now.

Seat was not recalled per se, but they offered replacement seat at a price too good to refuse. The new seat has more padding and is not as sloped as the original picture.
I ( any many other people ) found that the original seat allowed you to slide foward. This was uncomfortable and actually became tiring during a long bout of seat time.
Mine was on a B2630 but I believe other B's had the same seat. Great idea on the stool!

I gave mine to my Neighbor, hes gonna adapt it either to his old Case, or his old wheelhorse.

Thats one fine looking stool, I would imagine it'd be hard to get off your arse to do much. Can ya sit back and not end up on your head?

Tolister- The seat is very stable and the pedestal is tilted at about 5 degrees so you are not sliding off alike on the tractor.

A stool was my original plan but the seat ended up on my 37 year old Cub Cadet. Who has time to sit around any way?
