Life of Power Line Poles?

We needed some old power poles for parking bumpers at our little league. We had many already, but wanted to expand the parking area. Our local power company wouldn't sell them, donate them, nothin'.

Moss,I think I can comment on that issue.I worked for the local power comp. for 37 years(retired last year)A few folks we gave poles to decided to sue us when we gave them poles because the poles had creosote on them.They were not informed of the creosote so they got lawyers involved.After that we did not give poles away to the public.Sad but true.

Around here, they will give them to you... "sometimes"... Other times they have them sold, and won't give them to you!
