I have an LS 5055 and when I have my cattle trailer hooked to it, it holds at the position I put it in as long as I am traveling, but as soon as I let off the throttle, the lift drops down. Looked through the manual and cant find anything for help but I may have missed something but not sure. Anyone have any ideas ?
Thanks
Dave

Just my 2:twocents: but it sounds like a pressure drop, maybe leaking past the piston seal, or something clogged or restricted.

How many hours on the tractor, how many on the filters, any signs of leaks or damaged lines.

The book say that 3pt has a 2,755 lb lift capacity.

I'm assuming you don't have the front of the trailer packed with cows, lol.

Also, here's a link to the parts diagram if your interested.

Does closing the valve under the seat keep it from drifting down? If that valve is closed and it still drops, then the piston must have a bad seal, or it’s just overloaded.

Thanks for the reply, the tractor is a 2013 but bought new in 2015, since day 1 the lift has been drifting down. I will try the valve under the seat, but over loaded can't be the issue, empty trailer. Thanks for the link ehinsdon
