ShenNiu 254
Bought an older ShenNiu 254, with a box on 3-PT hitch. Parked it a couple of months, arms/box down.
Re-start, 3-PT went up once to allow me to swap out teeth.
Now, it won’t lower. I thought it was gravity only (not hydraulic push down). Fluid is a bit low.
Is there a check valve or some other reason why it won’t lower?
Thx.

btw- I have a full “English” version of the manual, about 150 pages.

You should have a valve with a knob that adjusts the speed that the 3 pt arms go down and if fully closed, it will actually lock the arms position and won't let it go down.

On most tractors it is located pretty much under the seat in between your legs. Yeah, sounds weird but makes sense once you see it. On Chinese tractors, I'm not sure because they do some funky stuff with the placement of the controls.
