lift capacity

I have a l3300 with la480 fel.
lift capacity never did seem that great but now it want lift a full bucket of dirt. reving the motor does not seem to help. is there an adustment for the amount of hydrolic preasure?

You may have the pressure relief stuck partially open in the control valve. Ask your dealer for a breakdown of it.

Before you go and change pressures, get a gage to measure the pressure at the lift cylinder. Tee in to the line at the cylinder.

I read here once that if the three pt hitch isn't adjusted correctly by the dealer and is all the way up it can impact in a negative way the lifting capacity of the fel. It was said to lower the three pt slightly to correct this and the fel would work with the correct power. I'd try it before starting anything else just to see. I don't want to get flamed, just repeating what I read.

Any idea what the preasure should be?
also never would have thought the 3 point all the way up would make a differance I'll try that also

Not sure, but normally around 2500 psi for most models. Some adventursome folks have shimmed up to 2700-2800.

If the 3pt is up all the way, and not adjusted correctly, it could be bypassing the pressure relief.
