3-Point Hitch Lift don,t work

I bought a used 135 massy ferguson,and not up on what to look for when buying.should have took someone with me to check things.Anyway its a 3 cyl diesel and runs great but the only way the lift will move is to use the draft level, Question is this an easy fix or should i get a tractor mechanic to do it. I have worked on cars all my life but don,t know where to start on this tractor,Does anyone have any sugestions and also where can i get a manuel,not even sure what year it is, the plate that had the seriel number is missing.again the level that works lift does not do anything, only the draft level will make it move and that is just not right, Help Anyone Thanks Oldspice406

I've use a 231 Massey and I've yet to figure out exactly how the 3pt controls work and they are erratic at best, at least for me, but I've been able to get them to work for what I need. You might run it for a bit and see if it doesn't work itself out.
