Cool Picture!!...did you go out and get the extra metal plates that can be put on the floor of the RTV Cab? Are they worth while?

Tell me all about that good looking rear bumper. Did you purchase (where) or build it? If you built it please post a few closeups. Nice looking rig, better looking backyard. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Didn't you say that it was a real joy to put that lift kit on? I'd really like to add a lift kit to mine. During this recent huge snow storm we had, the only reason that my Rhino could go through over 2' of snow and the RTV couldn't, was that the RTV was pushing snow big time due to low clearance. Once the snow melted down to around 18", the RTV could actually pull harder than the Rhino. This was done by scientific testing too; we pulled sleds and kids of roughly equal weight behind each. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif The RTV did a better job and would not shoot rooster tails of snow for 50 yards out behind it. /forums/images/graemlins/tongue.gif

I don't have a lift kit on my Rhino, but I have 27" Bighorns on it, and the RTV has 25" Bighorns. On my RTV, the tires don't rub, but the wheel wells are definitely full. Another couple of inches would be nice. You can see from the pic that there isn't much clearance. What kit did you use? How much was it? And, was it really a lot of fun to install??

I pulled the rubber floor out and used spay in bed liner for a floor. This way after you wash it no water is held under the rubber mat....

The lift kit came from Essex and only cost about $ 135.00 for the front blacks and rear shackles. The rear was simple but I had to remove the bed and both quick couplers for the dump bed. The front was the pain. I had a stut spring compressor but they didn't fit well and kept coming off. I would get lots of details from Essex before I started. I may have been doing it all wrong. Total lift is about 1 1/2"

Good Luck /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

The people at www.allterrainonline.com state that you do not need a lift kit with the 27" 589 Surefoots, but limit the front to the 27x9x12 and the rears are 27x11x12

Your picture looks like your kubota has the 27x11x12's in front and rear.

I would like to do the same to my RTV900W. That is place the 589 surefoot 27x11x12 on front and rear.

Is the lift kit necessary? Or does the lift kit just make good sense?

According to Essex Mfg. the 27" 589's will fit without a problem but adding the lift kit keeps the front from rubbing on some turns where the RTV is not level....

I would try it without the lift kit first if you don't want the additional lift. Then if it rubs too much, lift it.

But you should stick with the 11" width on the front because it's a heavy UTV...
