New BX2200 4-3-02 (traded 6-08) new B2620 06-08
Serviced the BX2200 and gave it a bath. Just used garden hose.

Now the caution lights will not go out.... Got something wet, assume a relay, but cannot locate it...

Very annoying. It happened one other time when I just took ownership but that time it just seemed to fix itself.

Any ideas?

Tom.

This happened once to me as well. I unhooked the battery leads, put them back on and the problem went way.

Jim, I pulled the plug to the turn signal switch a little bit ago and it seemed to fix the problem.

Guess I need a new switch from the Dealer.

I don't really need turn signals but it's a warrantee issue.

Glad that worked for you Tom. I'll try to remember that the next time mine acts up.

I haven't had the problem happen to me yet, but my dealer said it was a weakness with the switches Kubota used on the BX. He told me he has had to replace several of them and they are on tractors that are either washed on a regular basis or left outside with no shelter. I would sure think Kubota would address this issue.

The switches are the problem. A replacement would be no better as the factory switches are a poor (read that cheap) design. If you are in dusty conditions are wash it they will give you fits. I plan on changing mine to a better quality when I get the time. Kubota sure missed it on this one, seem like with such fine engineering on the overall machine they could easily eliminate this problem.

I had my double flasher switch replaced on my BX. Burned out for some unknown reason.

I doubt it burned out. The contacts in the switch just get dirty easlily because the switches are not sealed. You can remove the radiator cover, unplug the switch and pop it right out of the dash. The switch will unsnap and you can clean the contacts and reinstall in minutes. It easy to fix the problem but just rediculous that you have do bother with stuff like this on new machines. I think Kubota should send all BX owers not only new switches but new sealed switches. After all how many more people go buy one of their tractors after seeing us use them. Kinda like a pyramid huh?
I think its the least they can do.

So, it's another little annoying problem with an otherwise great little machine.

How do we get Kubota's attention? We are their best marketing tool and testers.

I think I will start another post asking that very question.
