I live in south Tx and we have this tire killing tree called Mesquite!!!! I have spent a ton on Slime and tire sealers. But getting a little tired of adding air all the time.
I thought by purchasing some of the tire reliners from Gemplers would or could solve my problem but the 17.9x28 one the sent me is about as thick as the inner tube at the most. So I had access to about 100ft of old conveyor belt and some short 10ft pieces that were new and this stuff is about a good 3/8 thick and im not sure how many layers of belt is in it but it seems extreeemly tuff and it bends enough that I think it might work. Going to give it a try this weekend and see what happens.:thumbsup:
Also I dont have a valve stem guard so I was thinking of using some 1 1/2 pipe threaded and weld it to the rim just high enough for valve stem to get air up and put a cap on it and I think that should due the trick..
Will post some photos latter. :dance1:
