Projects around the farm so far this year.....

Projects so far this year, not including my day job.

1. Built a dog kennel on the south side of the house that we can let the dogs into right off the kitchen deck.
2. Put about 30 tonnes of gravel on the driveway (playtime on the tractor)
3. Installed a 24x9 foot addition on the barn for storage
4. Replaced the old wooden fence posts with steel ones in the pasture
5. Built a small 8x8 hay house to keep the round bale feeder in so it stays dry
6. Made a 12x24 "car port" type addition to the donkey barn with double gates so it can be a quarantine or corall area
7. Got a truckload of logs delivered and cut and split and stacked almost 9 bush cords of firewood
8. Used the tractor and backhoe to take out some trees and stumps and make a small road and clear area behind the barn
9. Worked and seeded the front small pasture, it's growing great
10. Built a greenhouse and garden shed in the veggie garden
11. Added a clear roof over the kitchen deck so we can sit out in the rain and enjoy the view
12. Made a small covered shelter behind the barn to keep trailers, etc in (32x8)
13. Dug out one side area by the pond for a future "sunken" patio and firepit
14. Made a second dog kennel off the outbuilding
15. Removed the 6 livingroom windows and replaced them
16. Tore out the living room (wood) floor and replaced it with laminate.
17. Brought in a 24' truck box for storage, cleared some bush out and set it in place
18. Started removing the siding on the house to prep for new siding before winter.
19. Put up about 500' of cedar rail fence.

I'm a gittin' tired.....

Yarrrr.

Thanks all. It has been nutso I will admit but I do have a good feeling of satisfaction and am proud of how the farm is starting to look.

I do have a couple of major projects for next year associated with the landscaping around the house. More seat time hooray!! Specifically I am going to make a system of connected ponds and a stream that will run either about 50 feet or if I go nuts about 150 feet through the backyard.

I will be sure to post some pictures when I do it.

As Thomas would say...

HOOAAH
