Any of you folks own one of the litle giant ladder systems ?
I know they aren't inexpensive . But they look well built and stable . I'm thinking about the one that extends to 19' ( model 22) .
Do any of You have any experience with their products ? John

I have a different brand; it's in the shed and we are getting pounded with rain, or I would go look /forums/images/graemlins/shocked.gif In fact, there are even tornadoe warnings right now just north-west of us; an odd occurance for north-central California /forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif

I haved used the "little Giant" and other similar brands. Those kind if ladders are great! The flexibilty in setup is very good. My ladder is a 16'. I like it as it also acts as a 8' ladder.

I have owned mine for over 20 years and it is great. I will say that it has gained weight since I first purchased it. I used to be able to carry it all over the place, but now, since it has gained weight, I no longer move it around as much. The locking mechanism of the ladder is still smooth and works flawlessly. I have been known to leave it outside all summer while working on the deck and it didn't suffer at all. I lubricate the "joints and legs" with Pledge spray furniture polish just like the salesman told me 22 years ago and it still works like new. If you purchase them at a "fair" where they are demonstrating them, you can sometimes get a better deal if you purchase some of the accessory items that are made for the ladder. I purchased mine from a demo booth that was set up across from us at a Home Show. I only made one mistake that day. I only purchased one ladder and all the accessories to go with it. Back then, the sales people didn't want to take the ladders out at the end of the show and would sell them off for cost to other vendors at the shows. I should have purchase a second one that was smaller. I believe that the one that I have is also the Model 22. I would like to have a smaller one for work inside the house. The 22 is difficult to carry up the stairs and round the corner at the top landing without hitting the ceiling. It is worth every penny that my wife paid for it!!!!! /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Slowrev....... 20 years ago when I was your age, I had the same problem with my sledge hammer. I no longer have the problem though...... My 40 year old sledge hammer now has two moving parts..... the head and the handle. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

I have owned a little giant ladder for over twenty years. One of the best investments I have made. I used to do a lot of service work and appreciated its versatility. I have the model that extends into a 19' ladder or sets up as a 9' A-frame. Even with me weighing in at over 200 lbs. I can stand on the top rung and not feel insecure. I like the fact that I can throw it in the back of my truck and not have a special ladder rack.

I have one...you should too !!! /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif Got mine here LadderSource. I did drop a triple LVL beam on it about two years ago, shearing off one of the locking critters. They sent me the repair parts and we were back in business. Like Junk said..they are not light, but very stable. They are a little weird when used as a full extension ladder, but they're great for uneven use like on stairs or as big step ladders that store in a smaller space.

I have one here at the shope. I think it is the Model 22 or maybe one larger. We ahve had it around for several years. Pretty well made and durable. Convienent. Just not good for electricity! /forums/images/graemlins/shocked.gif

I was wondering about them also, sounds like a decent ladder. Saw the commercial and thought it sounded too good to be true!
