First let me tell you that I am not a snake fan. I think they are satan's little hand puppets. Please spare me the balance of nature speech and that they kill rodents. I will take the rats. But, I think I have one that I can put up with. I have been running my dozer and tractor on my future home sight and have had 3 green snake sightings. The first one was when I was using my front end loader to push some brush down. When I backed out of the brush, I thought I had a vine hanging on the loader arms, it was Mr. Greeny. The next time I saw one a big dirt clod had fell from the dozer blade and had it pinned down. I gently took the blade and pushed the clod aside. Then yesterday I am running the dozer and look to my right and right at eye level was Mr. Green. Either me and Mr. Green keep running into each other or my property has a very dense green snake population. Here is a picture to show how long it was. It was the longest green snake I have ever seen.

No, not at all. Just your common everyday green snake. My wife asked the same thing. I told her if you are in Central America and see one that color to RUN!!!! Funny thing, I remember as a teenager finding one on the side of the road that had been run over by a car. It was the same size and build of a green snake but it was sky blue.

Ok, I've never seen a green snake in Michigan. We've got some nice green tree frogs with suction cups on their feet. Sometimes they cling to my living room window and watch us as we watch TV.

Or, maybe they're watching TV too ?

Nice photos, Brent.

I'm glad you're not killing them.

If you don't already have a name for your property, might I suggest Green Snake Acres? /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Thanks Jerry, but I think I have caught why I have'nt seen one.

I have never seen any green snakes in MI before or the tree frog. Do those frogs have a certain habitat in different parts of MI?
