Man, these things are terrible this year. I don't remember previous years being so bad. The little suckers are parachuting around on a silk web and eating the snot out of the leaves on the trees. I also think they are the source of the little black dots (Poop) on my vehicles from parking under the trees. When its quiet, it sounds as is its sprinkling rain out side from them either eating or crapping.

What do these worms morph into? I'm in Maryland

I'm on the other side of the Potomac in Northern Neck Virginia and the little buggers are bad here too. Can't walk down the road without having several of them attach themselves to you. Usually find them when they crawl up your neck from your shirt. Yuckkk.

Yep, that's the little monsters.
Thanks

Are they nationwide? Worldwide? I've noticed more of them than usual here this month.

They are at our place as well. I THINK you can hear their poop hitting the leaves in the woods. If it is not the inch worm poo, it is poo from some other critter.

Dan, thats allot of POO:laughing: May have to thin the critters out some:laughing:

I'm not far from Bird and the worms are here too, from what we see though, last year seemed worse. We have had cool weather here for our area though.

They are here, too. So bad our local newspaper ran a big article about them today. One point was in order to reduce them next year, place a burlap strip or duct tape, sticky side out, around your favorite trees about waist high in the fall. It will catch the females as they climb up the truck (they are wingless).

The poo sounds like a gentle rain falling on the leaves..... Except it ain't rain drops falling on my head....:D:D:D
