Living with your Workmaster 45

Most tractor reviews on this site, or most places, are posted by users who just purchased their tractor. For you folks that have owned a Workmaster 45 (or the 55) for a while, how do you like your tractor now? Has it performed to expectations? Have you had very many problems, other than just a few minor ones?

Would you buy the same tractor again?

Living with it? I would marry it.
I got my 55 in July. just turned 200 hrs last nite. I have not had any trouble at all from it. I like to park it outside the barn and just sit and admire it. Those big front tires are what sets it off. My nieghbor comes down on his Boomer and I catch him staring at her.

I have not had a single minutes trouble out of it. Even when I do something it has been forgiving. I had water freeze in the filter. Easy to get to and it was easy to start. I forgot to hook the sidelinks up and didn't notice until I pushed some manure backwards with it. Nothing broke nothing bent. I felt lucky.

The gear whine is bad real bad at first. But it decreases over time. I'm not crazy about the 8 speed trans,but it is adequate for what I do. I have a full size backhoe so sometimes the loader feels a little flimsy. But I know I'm exceeding what it's built for so I stop. But don't get me wrong,for this class of loader it does good.

I looked at the 45 and ordered it,but the next day I called and got the 55.

I have the Farmall 45A (the red version of the workmaster 45) and have had it a couple years now and would easily recommend it and I am still thinking about adding a Farmall 55A with fwa just because of how much I love the 2wd 45A.

I have a post pounder mounted on mine but also take the pounder off and use it for raking and tedding hay.
