LK2554 Help with pto shaft repair

I have a LK2554 I have broke the inner pto shaft what will it take to fix it.

Its hard to tell from the picture, but are you talking about the shaft that comes out the back. If so I believe it is held in place by a C clip - possibly 2. I had to have my rear seal fixed and I vaguely remembering him pulling the clip and taking the shaft out, replacing the seal and sliding everything back together. He did this at my place with the tractor in my driveway.

Seal was damaged when I had some baling wire get wrapped up in it. For inquiring minds it was on my hay rake to hold up the PTO shaft when not in use. I forgot to secure it well and it dropped down and got balled up at the joint. On end got into the seal. I was lucky it did not mess up the shaft.

After looking at the diagram - how in the world would you know that's what broke ? It looks deep inside the case and not an easy fix !

I bought a LK2552 which is the same as your except 2 wheel drive. It uses the same shaft. After purchase I found the shaft was broke. So I broke the trans out and took in shop, tore down same, found shaft in transmission broke into like you cut it w/hacksaw. I finally found shaft @ Kioti dealer in Vicksburg, MS. They finally told me they couldn't furnish the brg, cover/seal(after 5 months waiting). I found one on E-bay. Put it back together ran it abt. 4 hrs hit a stump and I think I broke it again. So I've got the disk behind it until I decide what to do. I've been looking for another site to find parts and so for I can't find any parts outlets on internet for Kioti or Daedong. Have you had any success in finding parts for your tractor?

I guaranty it's not an easy fix and I hate to go though it again, but.......... This must have been a bad design. This tractor was only built for 2 years in 1998 & 1999. Maybe why. But I had a 6' bushhog behind it also, This tractor may just be for a 4' cutter or a finish mower, and for sure no stumps.

The broke part came out when took the rear pto shaft out, they are joined together with a coupling.

Would i have to split tractor to fix broken PTO shaft or to access coupling? My LK2554 PTO only spins when I apply alot of force to PTO lever. When I let off lever PTO stops spinning. The forks are in good shape. Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated.

Have you tried both speeds? Is this tractor new to you? I have never broke the shaft on mine but I did replace the rear seal so I have had the shaft out.
