I was wondering if the current loaders have a wrap around design where part of the loader frame extends around the front of the tractor? When they come up with the reach of the tractor at maximum height, which I think is 22", is it in front of this wrap around front, or is it 22" from the bucket to the nose of the tractor?

I know with the CK30 there is less listed reach at max height, but I do not think it has any loader frame in front of the tractor.

Maybe the new 3054xs's have a different design, or I am looking at some old pictures, can anyone help. I want the most reach possible.

Thanks

There is no loader frame in front on the CK30. The tractor will bump into the brush pile if you try and stack it high and your not careful but that is what brush guards were made for.

My second damage to my tractor was poking a stick through the bottom most mesh screen when stacking brush. First damage was a big branch denting the rear fender lip when I backed into it.

Thanks Highbeam

I don't know what happened to my reply, I sent one a couple the same day you wrote. I am currious if all the Lk3054's have that frontal frame as part of the loader? Can anyone tell me if when the figure the reach for the loader, do they measure from the loader bucket to the metal frame on the front of the tractor, or do they measure from the bucket to the nose of the tractor without regard to the loader frame?

See, I want as much reach as possible. The CK30 is awesome, and I was sold on it, but it barely reaches into my truck. You have to put the nose against a tire and when the bucket gets in, it pulls hard on the side of dump in order to dump the bucket. The Lk3054 lists a reach that is about 5" greater then the CK30, which may make things alot easier. Course I then have a gear drive and a metal frame to bounce off my truck. /forums/images/graemlins/ooo.gif /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Any help with these obscure questions.

I just checked an LK3054XS TLB and it appears the 22" is from the front of the heavy duty brush guard to the lip of the loader when it is in the full drop position. I took a picture but I don't have a clue how to post it here. says I need a URL for it.

Thanks, I appreciate you taking the time to look that up for me. I think I saw where you looked at the picture under the loader specifications? It shows the bucket lip tipped for the letter D spanning to a point on the nose of the tractor. I could not tell if the other edge is the brush guard, or the tractor nose? Maybe I am missing something, or not looking at what you are, can you help please.

Thanks a ton.

Actually, I fired one up and raisedthe bucket to the top, then full dump. Grabbed a tape measure and got about 22" from the imaginary vertical line below the lower lip of the bucket and the ground and the front of the brush guard. so if the book says 22", it is clearance in front of brush guard.

You sir are a stud! /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

That is some outstanding info indeed. Thanks for measuring for me. I was wondering about the picture you had to post, I do not see anything yet. I look forward to it.

Oh another question on the TLB. Can you use the three point when removing the hoe, or does that subframe make it impossible.

Thanks bunches!

Question on the canopy. Does it fold back in any fashion, or is it fixed?

You can take the backhoe off and install the 3 pointhitch gear the subframe for the backhoe and the 4 point (fixed) ROPS/FOPS stay with the tractor. they ship everything with the tractor to convert it to 3 point, the lift arms go on easy with hitch pins, it would take a little longer to install PTO shield, and the filler panel between the fenders if desired. Also the drawbar assembly is shipped loose. If someone were to want to put the backhoe on only occasionally and/or change frequently, this may not be the best setup, you could get a subframe backhoe on the LK3054 or the CK series so that the 3 point stuff stays on the tractor. but the rear overhang will be much more, not as rigid. This is ideal for contractors, plumbers, electricians, etc who need a capable machine still small enough to haul behind a half ton truck.

The picture is in the attachment on my earlier post in case you didn't see it.
