I have a 2008, 3320 and can not figure out how to shut the load match off. The manual says to use the switch to shut it off but there is no switch where the manual shows. Just a place for the switch. I have read that the 08s did not have a switch and you had to turn it on and off some other way. My selling dealer is clueless on how to turn it off. The digital display says loader on when going through start up. The problem I am having is I want to be able to go down the road in high range and hot have the tractor slow down and engine RPMs go up. Any ideas?

When you buy the automotive cruse control does the Load Match switch come with that kit?

Thanks
Dan

Mine's an '05, and it had the Loadmatch when I bought it. The switch was in the same place as Killer_B's pic shows. When I added the automotive cruise there was a loadmatch switch included, that I obviously didn't have to use.

I wonder if you turn the LM off, will your machine's engine slow down (ie start to stall) as well as the tractor slow down, when you hit a bit of an uphill grade?? Are you wanting to control the RPM's manually??

The 08 tractors do not have the switch. I talked to the dealer again this morning and he THINKS I need to buy the auto cruse kit be able to switch the load match off. He is not sure and said he would check some more.

I do want to be able to control the engine rpms manually such as road speed or field work. You can't lug the engine the way it is now. I havn't tried pulling my disc yet but I can almost tell you how that will go before even trying.

Maybe something is wrong with mine but I don't notice any big difference with mine off or on, I just leave it on. On the road you would only notice it when starting off or pulling a steep hill with a load, I guess that could be a pain (pulling hills) but in the field that's what it's designed for, to prevent lugging. I have no field experience so I can't really comment on whether that's good or bad.
Sounds like you would benefit from that deluxe cruise option cause then you can dial in ground speed and not worry about rpm's. one of the options lets you lock on a speed like a gear tractor.

Dan, I just looked through my manual, 08 Model 3320 and there is no mention of a function w/o the LM switch to turn it off. I went and tried my tractor using the selector switch and I could not find a way to turn it off.

So, I guess you have to have the LM switch to perform this function.

I think the reason Deere did away with the LoadMatch switch on the new models is that almost everyone leaves it in the ON position and never turns it off. Therefore no need for a switch.

So hopefully the price of the tractor went down by $3.19 or so.

Yea, they are now discounted at least that maybe even double that. You will have to ask your dealer though to make sure that you are getting every cent you can off that new tractor.

The automotive cruise is a nice upgrade for ~100 bucks, and ~30 min of install.

Why do you want to lug the engine?? I hate that sound!!! Someone can tell me if I'm crazy, but I think it's better to keep the rev's up and use your eHydro pedal to control speed. It seems to add less stress to the powertrain. The Loadmatch aims (and I think does a good job of) to prevent lugging.
