Wondering if there is a simple way to level the 2 loader arms on my 2710?? When received noticed one side (right, from seated pisition) hits the ground about an inch or two before the other. As I don't use it that often other than as a regular replacement for my wheelbarrow, has not been high on my priority list to address. If there is a simple adjustment, I will be able to avoid calling the dealer over. Appreciate any help here. Thanks in advance.

M.Sullivan, if nothing is bent or damaged, then I'd say someone failed to follow the instructions when installing the loader. You should have a loader manual with the instructions and they include not tightening any bolts firmly until most of the components are attached to the tractor and before tightening to start the engine and apply down pressure to the bucket to lift the front wheels slightly and to tighten all the bolts properly in that position. In other words, if nothing's damaged, you're going to have to loosen some bolts, lift the front wheels as indicated and re-tighten everything. The problem is that I don't know how many bolts you'll have to loosen; probably quite a few. Personally, I'd call the dealer.

I agree with Bird... check with the dealer, also:

Make sure the tractor is on level ground and confirm it's not adjusted properly... Most loader mounts {tractor specific} are exact fitting and are not sloppy to be off in inches...

M.,
That sounds like a big discrepancy to be miss-mounted. Unless something really big was missed when they mounted the subframe. I for sure would get in touch with the dealer.

I would check tire inflation on all four before I did anything else. Even to the point of getting a tape measure and checking circumference to make sure fornts match and rears match. It's surprising how much a low tire can change "level." And, even if the pressures are equal, one tire could be larger than the corresponding. I've adjusted more than an inch by equalizing. Just my two cents....

Bird and Bill in MI are on the right track. Having installed at least a 100 Kubota loaders over the last 13 years it could be either one of those problems or both.

SULLIVAN: not being an expert i agree with brian and bill. chek your tire pressure first. i just sold an older ford that had less pressure in right side rear and caused the fel to be totaly off kilter. (did not fix it because i could not get valve cap off) did not want to break it like i did the left side./w3tcompact/icons/frown.gif

Hey, Brian -- I just realized who you are! /w3tcompact/icons/smile.gif

I know you've been lurking on this site and have probably contributed as an unregistered user, so I'm glad you've finally come out of the shadows.

Hey, guys! Brian is a top-notch Kubota mechanic from my area, making him the only member of this board that I've met in person. He let me pick his brain for the better part of an hour at the dealership where I wound up not buying my tractor (no reflection on the dealership -- just worked out that way). He knew I bought it elsewhere, but that didn't stop him from helping me like I was their best customer.

Interesting note -- the week after Brian left that dealership to start his own business, the dealership went out of business. Coincidence? /w3tcompact/icons/crazy.gif

I don't want to embarass him any more than I already have here, and I know he wouldn't want me to mention his web site, so I won't. /w3tcompact/icons/wink.gif

Uh, Brian, this needs to be said. I'm not trying to put words in other peoples mouths or anything but.....you work on that jet engine dragster pictured on your web sight? You see, there is this guy, his name is Mark Chalkley, he's been lurking on this board for some time. Ummmm, talk about your new best friend, he's been looking for ways to increase horse power, a faster hydrolic flow, lots and lots of guages, along with other modification. But I see an opportunity for you. Don't think he's thought about fire shooting out of the tail end, and hey, don't know what kind of tires your jet dragster uses but can you get them with an R4 tread? Forget gauges, bet you can install a heads up display (HUD)! Yep, with your expertise, something tells me you are the guy to do it! Your web sight said you were mobile, ever been to Virginia? Be careful if you do work for him, instead of paying you cash he'll try to trade your services for a fanchise selling large cups with magnets on the bottom! /w3tcompact/icons/smile.gif
