loader break out force

While I think the world of my BX I'm dissappointed with the break out force of the loader. I attempted to pull out some metal "strap down stakes" used to secure a mobile home out of the ground using my BX loader and they wouldn't budge. Had to resort to digging by hand and using a Farm jack...any suggestions on a "move up" compact with a more powerful loader that can perform these tasks while still being manuverable like the BX.??? /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif

If those are the stakes that are screwed into the ground...I wouldn't be too upset with your tractor...I tried with a "big" backhoe one time...it would eventually pull some of them out of the ground, but made a huge hole....ended up digging them out with the hoe...faster and easier /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

Those stakes are designed to keep a trailer house tied to the ground during a tornado...if you look a the aftermath pictures of severe storms....the home may be gone, but the frame is usually still tied to the ground /forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif

As far as I know, that combination of enough power to pull those anchors and the maneuverability of a BX doesn't exist and ain't gonna exist. /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif

Have you ever noticed that the pros who install and/or remove those things never try to pull them; they have a big heavy duty, slow turning, 90 degree angled head, drill, like a hole hawg, to screw them into the ground or unscrew them out of the ground. I've had occasion to "pull" several out of the ground, and of course, neither of my Kubotas (B7100 and B2710) would do it. On one job, a neighbor's 85 hp Oliver (no FEL) and a stout chain was used to simply pull them out horizontally. And on another job, another neighbor's 100 hp Deere had a FEL that would lift them straight up out of the ground.
