I'm shopping for a four in one to go on my Alo/Quicke loader (Q920). During that process I have learned some interesting things.

Bradco makes one designed for the rough tough Skid steer world. List around $2300 for a 6 ft bucket. Heavy metal construction, intelligent hose routing, mean looking cylinders--sounds good, right? Wrong. It has a warning label stating that use with loaders that can lift over 2000#s voids the warranty! That includes loaders found on larger compact tractors, Boomers, JD 4000s, et al. Telephone call to Bradco backs this up.

I'm sure there is some archival material, but what are the current choices out there? Long, Construction Attachments, who? How about experience with 'em? Has anyone bent theirs?

Love that Quicke so far (since yesterday). I'll do more on it once it is fully equipped with the 4 in one bucket et al. The thing goes straight up in the air, really high. Lifts 3000# to full height, they say.

Thanks as always!

Jim - if you go to the archives do a search look up 4in1 and 4-in-1 bucket and you can get a lot of good info. I have a long 4in1 on order should have it in about a week or 2, Ill let you know how I like it after a while.

Jim, Glad you are having fun with your tractor.

"Lifts straight up" and CAN dump the entire load back on you or the tractor as some of our forum posters have found out the hard way. Be very careful until you are really familiar with what the loader can do. With 3000# high above you, small irregularities in the terrain can turn the whole rig over.

Lifting 3000# without a properly ballasted tractor is not normally recommended by any manufacturer, but I am sure you have taken care of this by now. I just found most of the tractor and loader manuals not to be very good in this regard. The best I have ever seen were the John Deere manuals and most people never seemed to follow their recommendations until something went wrong.
