MF 1433v
The FEL (m/n 1466) on my 1433v has started leaking at the back of the spools. I suspect the "O" rings are shot since the FEL is original to the tractor.
Altho it appears that I could have the valve rebuilt, I'm leaning towards just replacing it. Not keen on getting a new valve from MF due to cost.
Searching the forums here, it seems some people have had success with valves from Surplus Center. However, the posts I've read don't specifically mention my model FEL. I'm a bit anxious about buying something that might not fit my specific model.
Anyone have any recommendations or stories to tell about replacing their FEL control valve?

On most valves the O-rings can be replaced rather easily and for much less money than a new valve assembly. Can you get a parts break down of your valve from Massy?

Hey Wayne, If you need parts lookup,

Go to AgcoPartsBook.com
Select "View Books" as guest user.
Upper left of next page select "Browse Books"
Select "Massey Ferguson" on next menu.
Select "Parts Books" on expanded menu.
Select "Material Handling" on expanded menu.
Select "Mounted Loaders" on expanded menu.
Scroll down until you find the loader model then select.

There are different valves used on that loader, so you will have to find out which model your tractor has.

Maybe take some photos of your valve, note leaks, any other info and post in hydraulics forum. There are some very helpful and knowledgeable people over there that will comment more readily than Massey forum.

I have a leak in mine that appears with heavy use and have not yet taken time to pinpoint location. Also do a search for Massey loader valve leak via this site and google same.

Thanks for the reply oldnslo. I actually found a retired MF mechanic close to home that will rebuild the valve for me. Rebuild is definitely the way to go, as he said a new MF valve would probably run about $1000!

Thanks DMW. I have the Agco parts book website saved as a favorite! See my reply to oldnslo about my resolution to the leak.
Interesting side note- I live in Northern Vermont. I did a search for MF dealers in my area as I was considering buying a new valve from MF (the dealer I bought my tractor from has since closed). It came up with only 2 - one in Vermont and one in NY. By contrast, it showed like a bizillion MF dealers in Canada! What the hecks with that? Do Canadians appreciate MF more than Americans? :)

MF is based in Canada where as in this area MF is typically in with the AGCO dealers. Still should show as a MF dealer though I would think.
