Loader Control Valve Replacement \'79 Kubota L295DT

I have isolated the reason for my loader bucket slowly drooping. The Control Valve. Although the lift valve is fine, the curl valve is leaking. Since the company that manufactured the unit has been out of business for 15 years, I thought I would just replace it, or can this unit be salvaged? Any thoughts as to which unit would replace this one which has 1/2" inlet and 3/8" working fittings?

Check out Surplus Center. They have several loader valves that will work for your application. Make sure you get the right one. Yours is probably open center with power beyond.

As for the connections, you can get adapters to convert from one thread size to another. This will allow you to use your existing hoses. Surplus Center has the adapters too.

A local hydraulic shop may be able to rebuild your existing valve. You should check and compare prices, new vs rebuild.

I would do as MadReferee suggested and check with a local hydraulic shop. The Yellow Pages is a good place to start. Many small shops will use generic parts/seals to repair cylinders and valves. It will probably be a lot less expensive and certainly less hassle if you can find a local shop.

I had two curl cylinders on a 1964 model Ford loader rebuilt about 8 years ago and it only cost me $180. That included slight straightening one of the rams. It was just a little "Mr Fixit" kind of shop, but the guy did a great job. The local Ford dealer didn't have a rebuild kit and so the guy just had to match parts. The cylinders never leaked afterwards.
