That is the loader control valve ( tapped off tractor hyds on the hyd top cover - 4gpm! ) on my 1955 ford 850 with ford 711 1-arm loader. In the pics, that's the one with the blue loader. i also have a near identical 1955 ford 660 with a ford 722 1-arm loader with a similar valve setup.

One spool is lift/drop, the other spool is dump/curl.

Way better than using a wheel barrow.. even if the controlls are a little odd!
Your joystick setup looks great to me.. etc.

Nice. I like the one armed loader. Is that tire as flat as it looks?

When i first got my 660 a few years ago, it already had the laoder on it. i had no manual and figured it was pretty 'light duty'. About a year ago i found a manual, and crossreferenced the bracket kit and the loader frame components
.. seems there were a few different brackets, and a few different frame components. Mine were the 'HD' units that would lift 1200# and break out 3k# Once i found that out i started moving round bales with it. Late last year I found another laoder frame at a junk dealer. picked it up and then early this year found an 850 to put it on. A few hundred bucks in hoses and a valve ( quite a few hundred ).. and i had another loader... finding the brackets was the hardest aprt.. they are worse than hen's teeth..

Yeah, I see that now, good eye. Awkward for sure. The valve mounts high, above the cowling. It would have to be mounted "on edge" with the hoses pointed over the engine cowling. The stick is horizontal pointed toward the rear of the tractor.

I spun the joystick anchor around 180. That gives me hoses up, valve flat, up stick is boom down. But left stick is bucket dump. If I make a new anchor plate and move the anchor to the opposite side it is now I'll have what I want.

Weird that they put those drawings sort of upside down.

I just realized I'd need to switch the spools in the valve casting. Can that be done, swap the spools side to side in the valve?

Only if the spools are stackable, like the Prince SV valve.

However, you may be able to take the guts out of each spool and swap them. I'd call the manufacturer and ask. From the looks of the outside casting it might work, but the internal machining may preclude swapping.

Not stackable. I'll have to call.

I know this is a very old thread but did you find a valve or get yours to work? I am having the exact same problem and looked at this valve.

I need a valve that I can mount so that the lines come out the top/flat part of the valve and then down is down up is up and side to side tips bucket.

With this valve it looked like if you mount it with the lines pointing up then side to side would be raise and lower and up down would be bucket tilt. I don't have the room to mount something with the lines coming out of the sides and need them coming out the top and I would also like to change as little plumbing as possible.

Sorry, I haven't run this tractor in years. Right now I don't remember how it ended up working. I don't remember it being unusable if that helps any.

Because of the injuries that are common (not infrequently lethal) with front end loaders (FEL) with joystick controls, a FOPS (falling object protection system) should be installed on any tractor with a joystick, really any tractor with a (FEL). The reason, it is difficult to distinguish the liftarm raise from the dump position. when this occurs attempting to dump may result in raising the liftarms and dumping the load into the operators lap or on his head.
