Kubota 4310
I have a 2001 Kubota L4310HST today with a LA681 loader. One of the front loader cylinders had developed a leak. The dealer quoted me $52 for the parts kit and $50-75 for the labor, does that sound about right? Also, is there ANYTHING I need to do to relieve the hydraulic pressure before detaching the hose at the cylinder? Thank you in advance for all help.

Just lower the bucket, and wiggle the joystick through all motions.

What J_J said. It may be obvious but he means to do this with the machine turned off.

I have a 1999 B2710 Kubota with a LA401 loader. The right side bucket cylinder has begun leaking, for the second time I might add. I asked the Kubota dealer for parts and labor charge to replace the seals he quoted me $62 parts and 1 hour labor.
This cylinder first leaked 3 years after I had purchased the tractor. It was repaired and about 3 years ago began leaking again. I only have 430 hours on the tractor and loader, and am concerned the cylinder tube may be warped and my most recent repair may also be temporary. When in my early 20's I had a'69 MGB that developed a leak in the master brake cylinder. When I purchased the seal kit to rebuild the brake cylinder the guy at the parts desk cautioned me not to do it saying the cylinders warp and the seals won't last. Having limited financial resources I opted to rebuild my brake cylinder. About 3 months later, while driving, brake fluid began leaking down onto my shoes ruining them. I bought a new pair of shoes and a new brake cylinder.

Repacking hyd cylinders will last if the fit and finish is good internally......Just poking a seal kit in doesn't tell you if it's gonna work for long

A careful inspection, polish and clean will determine if it's gonna be a temp fix or a good repair......the fit should not be more than .008" of slop in the gland (.002-.005 preferred) and the finish on the chrome rod should near perfect and not damaged
