I have a TC45D with the 17LA FEL. I have noticed the hydraulic hoses are rubbing on the side of the hood. (See attached picture for the location of the hoses.)

Has anyone found a way to prevent this?
I have thought about adding some more plastic cable ties, but the hoses still need to move when the loader is raised and lowered.

Thanks
Tim

Would a bungie cord help? That is what came on my TC33D and it seems to work. It is wrapped around the hoses and attached the side of the FEL frame.

I, too, vote for the bungie cord. That's what I've got on my 7308 loader to keep the hoses up by the frame and away from the right front wheel when it turns inward [SuperSteer]. Just unhook the bungie when you go to take the loader on and off, so you can back out from under it.

Best Regards,
Jay

Like the others, my tractor came with a rubber bungee cord that hold the hoses to the 7308 frame and it keeps the hoses away from the hood.

I think New Holland even has a part number for that "Very Special" bungee ....
It really should be blue however .

I too got the factory issued bungee. I always wondered if this was the solution others got with their tractor when new.

It seems that the 7308 comes with a bungee. I don't think the 16/17LA does. I haven't seen anyone post a solution they have used for those loaders (not that bungee wouldn't work).

Mine seems to rub just slightly, but no real rub marks left behind... yet.

I think I remember someone having the same problem on a class III Boomer and they had to adjust (bend slightly out away from the tractor) the bracket that the quick connectors mount on.

I will see if I can find that post.

Okay, I wasn't going to say anything...but, my "treat equipment like equipment" bias is gonna show here. Brandon, I think bending a bracket to save a little smudged paint is "going a little over the edge." /w3tcompact/icons/tongue.gif/w3tcompact/icons/smile.gif To me that falls under the heading of "the cure is worse than the disease." ...but I've been known to be wrong before. Just ask my ex-wife./w3tcompact/icons/laugh.gif/w3tcompact/icons/laugh.gif/w3tcompact/icons/laugh.gif

jinman your probably right....I cound't find the post but I think that the bracket was already bent and he had to bend it back to its original shape....I if remember correctly(probably not/w3tcompact/icons/grin.gif).

By the way here is a pic of the bungee cord on my 7308 loader.
