Loader Joystic not returning to neutral on new Boomer 55

I was able to use my new Boomer 55 today for the first time. As soon as I started using the bucket I noticed when I pulled the joystick rearward to lift the bucket that when I released it the bucket just kept climbing and to stop it I had to push it back to the neutral position.When lowering the bucket it works fine. It's like it's sticking in the rearward position. I continued to use the loader for over an hour and the condition never changed. I thought maybe it just needed to be used some to limber it up. I am not aware of any place to "lube" or adjust anything. It's obvious the valve is sticking and just another testament to the fact that the dealer never checked this tractor out before delivery. Does anyone have any ideas other than calling the dealer and having them send someone out to look at it?

PS: It was sunny and 67 degrees here in NC on Christmas eve today and I ran the air conditioner the whole time. It was actually hot in the sun. Last year we had already had our biggest snow ( 8") of the season 3 weeks ago !

With something brand new not working, it’s really best to have the dealer fix it. That issue you describe is not normal. A valve may be dirty or bad.

If you mess with it, that may give them a window to say that they’re not responsible because you did something to it.

I agree with Seville009, let the dealer figure out if it's just a cable adjustment or a bad valve. You paid for the warranty in the price of the tractor so best to use it.

OK, I will just call the dealer and have them come out and look at it. What galls me is they should never have delivered it like that. They didn't check it out like they supposed to.

First I agree that it is an item for the dealer to correct and that it should never have been delivered in that condition.
I do have a question however. When you put your lever in a full downward position, does it go to a held detent position known as float?
If not, it sounds to be as if your valve was either misassembled or somehow incorrectly installed.

Definitely call the dealership.

That would really tick me off too. Absolutely no excuse for a dealer to let a brand new machine leave the lot without operating and checking all functions.

It just seems that what you describe as the lever catches, and the arms continue to raise until the hit the top, sounds like the ‘float’ detent and since no ground resistance, it raises to its upper limit.

Again this is a dealer correction item in my opinion. Especially if it requires a replacement valve that can get pricey.
Personally, a failure to make that right would to be mean I would return the tractor as I would never trust any work done by that dealership.
