I have a older Earthforce backhoe that was bought out by bobcat. Anyone know why the loader would not be holding pressure when you let off of the joystick? It will pick up and push just bleeds down when you let off the loader control. When you pick the machine up with the loader if you let off it slowly comes back down. Hydraulic pressure is all good backhoe runs good just the loader bleeding off.

More then likely cylinders needs a rekit done (seals). Other problem would be valve is worn out.

I would say it is a seal kit but it is doing it on all of the front loader lift and bucket tilt cylinders. I assume in that case the control valve is probably bad. Do you know what would cause your hyd. tank to get really hot while running a machine the gauge doesn't show it is over heating but the tank thermometer shows it is very hot and the tank is really hot?

Maybe the relief valve is not closing. Levers not coming back to neutral. Loader valve worn.

Install a needle valve in the loader line, raise the loader, and close off the needle valve. It should hold. If the seals are leaking, the cyl will try and equalize. but not fully collapse.
