Snow Loader not working: help in snow!

Hi everybody, today a mess of snow here and the loader of my Kubota L3830 decided to remain in elevated position: after working properly for five minutes the loader lever drops down and do not lower the boom; it clearly do not seems to work in the various positions. At the moment the driveway is not plowed and I hope to have some advice to save the situation here. Thanks you.

I am not familar with the L series, but does the FEL have disconnects ? Check that connection area first. Also on my BX24 , it has a swing lock just under the joystick to stop fel from moving for saftey, does yours have one too ? If you do move the lever both ways to make sure its in the unlock position.

Hi radioman, the lock is in the free position, I checked that. I checked also the connections between the valve and the hoses and they seems to be fine. I hope to be able to check the connections better tomorrow but there is a lot of freezing rain and slit falling on the tractor now ...

No I did not checked the joystick connections, but there is the plastic cover over it I do not know how to remove it. Any recomendations?

Maybe I can help. I had a problem on my B7800 one day when the loader stopped working. It turned out all I had to do was my my 3-point hitch up and down a little. Apparently Kubota has a valve on the hitch that can (I wish I remembered/understood it better....)freeze up the loader if left in just the right/wrong position. My dealer told me if that ever happens to just move the 3-pt. lever a little up and down and it will fix it. It does. Hasn't happened since I did it that time.

I bet it's your situation. Hope this helps.

Idaguide, Idid that but no difference. The problem is that the lever has dropped down and do not engage the valves. I would like to check the connections under the plastic cover of the lever but, as I sayd I do not know how to remove that plastic shield.

To add a bit more...it has something to do with the movement of the fluid through the hydraulic system. When the hitch is in a certain position it restricts the flow through the system somehow. It's made that way...kind weird, but now that I know, it's not a problem. BTW, I've been totally unable to make it happen again by trying to find the right/wrong position of the hitch...so it's really not that big a deal.

They should warn you about, though.

OK. Sorry it didn't work.
You can remove the plastic cover by first sliding the boot up, then removing a couple of the bolts on the underside above the brake pedals. Don't remember which ones exactly, but I think they are the two near the top.

I remove mine to grease the pins with White Lithium every other time I grease the loader.

This happened to me once. I didn't have the quick disconnect completely connected. It was connected well enough not to leak but not well enough to let the hydraulic fluid get through. Took me a while to figure it out.
