I recently purchased a 1992 Ford 4630 4x4 tractor with a 7310 loader. I got the rig from out of state and didn't get a manual for the loader. My problem is the left side of the bucket is about 2" lower than the right side. I have checked out the connections on everything and nothing seems lose or bent. Does anyone know this loader and are there any adjustments that I don't see? Thanks for any help.

I think I saw this info posted here on TBN. Check the tire inflation and make sure it is correct for all 4 tires. Happens more times then you might think.

I have the same problem and ran a thread several months ago. Recommendations were to check tire pressure, bolts that had slipped, or bent metal. I could find nothing wrong and will have to live with it until I figure it out.

Roy,

After checking the tire pressures, front and rear, also verify that the front tires are the same size of the same brand / syle.

Should all of that check out. You can put your tractor on level concrete and loosen up the mounting bolts a little, then use the bucket to raise the front wheels slightly off of the ground. If it is a quick detach type of FEL, make sure that the quick disconect pins rotate freely and then tighten the bolts to the correct torque. Then lower the front end and check the level of your bucket.

That is the abridged version from my Kubota FEL manual.

Good luck,

Don

Roy, make sure that in fact it is the loader and not just the bucket. It is pretty easy to deform the bucket by twisting it when curling or when using a center hook and curling (rolling the bucket back as opposed to dumping). The force on the bucket is huge and the top/back as well as the bottom can become twisted or torqued enough that it will not go back to its original shape. Measure or eyeball the loader arms either with a tape measure to the hinge point and level ground or while sitting on the tractor, see if you can't sight them against a another piece of the tractor. On mine I can sight the large cross tube on the loader against the front grill guard to get a rough idea. If in fact the loader is twisted, your just going to have to play with it. Beyond adjusting for any play in the loader attachment bolts, try lifting more on the "higher" side of the loader/bucket to see if the stress can help "adjust" for what ever force caused this problem. Some loaders are more prone to getting out of whack either through weaker design or simply because they are just too strong for themselves particularly in the bucket curl movement. Rat...
