Tractor
Kioti DK 40 HST
So my CK 25 is paid off and I'm looking to get a bigger tractor.
Anyway I am looking at CK and DK series. From what I have read DK offers more bang for the buck.

Kioti has some programs through the end of the month. Cash back, free loader or 0% finance. Any thoughts on the best course of action.

I have no idea of the price of a loader, anybody? If i knew simple matter of using on line calculator and see if cost of loader is more or less than finance charge if i go the free loader route and use Agri Credit again. Than there is cash back. I imagine i should get the best price and than bring up the cash back offer.

I only have one local dealer but he has been helpful in past. He replaced a defective injector pump out of warranty ( I imagine Kioti picked up the tab) and he gave me free pick up and delivery (40 mile one way). he has earned my business.

Of course I have no idea of what rate I'll get and don't want a credit check till i'm ready to buy.

Looks like Kioti rate is 5.45 %. I believe I'd qualify.

Considering CK35HST or DK40HST. I never had an issue with sticking foward/reverse on the CK series. Still an issue?

Lastly: How does the DS series differ from DK.?

Thanks for your opinions

In the end, the decision will be yours to make. But if it were me, I would take the FEL and have the Dealer install it. Especially if your current or future needs would require the use of a FEL. If possible, you can make extra payments to pay off the loan. This is what I did. I scrimped and saved to do it though. Best wishes.

The DK is one heck of a machine. The DS is a stripped down version.

I only had a DK 40.

I just bought mine last week and went through the same deal. The dealer ran the numbers both ways for me and the rebate came out to a lower payment than the 0% financing.

He said I got a rebate for the loader and back how together so your mileage may vary if you're just getting the loader.

Either way, have him show you the payments both ways, it will only take a minute.

I was curious about the loaders on the dk/ds. 401/402. I thought they speced out the same, so why are they different?

The fitment must be different since the 401 is listed for the DK and the 402 is listed for the DS. The 402 has a 66" bucket vs the 72" on the 401.

According to their wiki, the DK came out in 1999 and the DS came out in 2009 as a value line.
My dealer never even mentioned the DS to me and only had DKs and CKs on the lot - don't know if I should read anything into that.

He let me check out a 2001 model DK that was in for regular service. It was in good enough shape that I probably would have made an offer on it, had it been for sale.

I looked at the DS line when I bought my DK, but my taste runs more to the more upscale deluxe tractor, so I bought a DK YMMV.

No HST available on the DS series, I tried a DS and quickly came to the conclusion I wanted an HST. I think the price difference was only $1000, gear DS to gear DKSE, when I was looking.
The DS is also not the old DK, the old DKs are abit heavier.
