All of a sudden my loader valve (Kubota) doesn't want to move fully in one direction - to raise the bucket. The other way is fine and the other valve for bucket curl is operating fine. any ideas or suggestions appreciated!
I would check the linkage from the control lever to the directional valve spool. Also possible the centering spring mechanism on the spool is falling apart or failing. On the end opposite the linkage there should be a cover over this centering spring. Remove this cover and see if anything looks loose or out of place.
If you have a hyd gage in the hyd path, and you try and use the valve, if a QD is not connected, you will see high pressure and the relief might sound off.
To see if the linkage is not working right, remove the pin on the spool and push and pull the spool to see if there is equal movement. If the cyl doesn't work right, then you know the QD is bad. Plus the hyd gage indications.
Thanks guys. I'll check under the spring cover this weekend. Its a joystick loader setup, I couldn't find any issue with linkages, the bucket will go up very slowly, so I am just barely engaging the hydraulic circuit, but it obviously wasn't fully working and no squeal. No QDs, its all hard plumbed in.
