JOHN DEERE 1050
I have a JD 1050 with a Great Bend Loader when it is cold the loader and the 3 pt hitch will not move until the tractor has ran for around 20 minutes. The power steering works the minute the tracotor is started with out warming up. I have changed the filter, fluid, and screen which didn't fix the problem. This has been a problem since I purchased the tractor. In the summer it works fine.

Whats the ambient temperature and your fluid viscosity grade?

you need to put some hydralic antifreeze in there, makes it work wonders on the hydralics. ill see if i can find it online for you.

I am not sure on the viscosity. I have taken it to the local John Deere Dealer and the replaced the fluid I have with John Deere fluid and it didnt help it.

I haven't ever heard of antifreeze for hydraulic fluid but I will search the internet for is. Our coldes days we have here in Arkansas would be around 20 degrees F. And that is not for a long period of time. I also keep the tractor in a barn.

Some of John Deere, tractors have this suction cartridge filter on the suction side of pump, which could be very viscosity sensitive.....

Using anti freeze is like taking aspirin for head ace, cures the symptoms, but not the cause....Anti freeze will be a short term solution on a problem that still will need to be addressed later...

For your temperature range, 20-75F, a 32 grade fluid is OK, but it also depends on how much heat your system is creating (how it is operated)...You might need a 46 grade in summer time

You need to take a sample, 1/4USG, of your fluid when it has normal operating temperature, let it sit in your freezer, till it is temperature is about 20F, and compare viscosity with a sample at room temperature 70F....

I have a similar issue down around 0 ambient, We just fire our equiptment up and let them warm up. After about 10 min I raise and lower buckets and in the track loader I run it slowly forward and back then give it another 10-15 min to warm. In cold weather it is easy to blow seals in final drives and the like,, It dont hurt my feelings to let it warm iup for a bit.
