Looking to put a loader on my MF 1233, any suggestions? How are the woods loaders?

Be careful. My dive into the FEL pool ended with a new tractor. The woods loaders seem to do fine. The rub is the cost. I looked at a loader for my 1985 ford 1310. The cost was about what I paid for the tractor new. Then I learned my 1310 could only lift around 500 pounds (+/-) So I ended up with a 1533 MF with a FEL from the factory. Make sure to get the quick attach bucket. Good Luck !

Yeah, I"m finding out they aren't cheap! Don't want to put more in my little tractor than it's worth. I only paid $3750 for it. For that price I had to do some work on it myself, but it's in excellent condition now after about a $500 investment in parts (agco ain't cheap!). If I can keep the cost down as much as possible, it might be worth the investment. It would be about a wash for what a similar 1233 with a FEL is running on TractorHouse.com. I'll have to get a good one at a very reasonable price. I don't know if that's possible these days!

Sounds like you got a good deal in the tractor. Good luck on the hunt. I always find a deal on what I am looking for right after I paid full price. LOL

Have you checked to see if there are any take offs at dealers? That would probably be cheaper than ordering a new one. That loader fit the 1428 & 1431 too. It may have fit the 1528 & 1531.
