I have a 33hp tractor with loader and am finding it very tippy. Because of this I am having the tires loaded. I purchased this tractor second hand with 41 hours on it. But can't figure why no loaded tires from original dealership. The rear tires I have are turf 13.6 x 16.

How much weight should I have put in each tire?
Should I use tubes with rim guard?
Should I load front tires also?

I like not tracking up the lawn, but this tractor seems too easy to tip. I tried to lift my tiller with the loader and was almost tipping over forward. Mowing my hillside is a little tippy feeling also.

Have you considered putting the tiller on while doing loader work, or some other heavy attachment? Might save having to load the tires, if you don't want the extra weight on the yard.

I made a 3pt carry all box, loaded it up with rocks and have found it safer but not that handy. Are there charts available to give proper tire loading guidance? Thanks for your suggestion.

In VT I think you'd be insane not to load the tires, front and back. Beautiful state, but seems not oversupplied with flat land.

Usually tires are filled to a level above the top of the wheel. I have both the front and rear wheels filled. All four tires have tubes also.

If you are going to load your tires, which I highly recommend, then look into a product called Rim Guard. Its completely organic, so if you have a failure and it leaks out of your tires, it wont kill your lawn/crop like calcium. Its also slightly heavier than calcium, so Ive been told. :D

Well I went and did it today. Filled two back tires. It cost 189.00 per tire with rim guard and tubes, not sure how that matches to other areas?? They seemed like real good people. Sure noticed a differance but it was raining so no play time for now. Thanks to all for the comments.

Depending on how heavy you lift with your loader you might also want to invest in a decent sized box blade. It serves as a good counterweight and is useful for all kinds of things.

I agree there. Loaded tires while necessary ae in no way sufficient for heavy loader work. Weight hung on 3 pt hitch is multipled by about 1.5 times equivalent weight on rims or loading in terms of effectiveness.

BTW I see no purpose in loading front tires unless you run no loader and only use heavy 3 pt equipment.

This is just me, but when I bought my new tractor I chose not to load the tires.

Cost was the main factor. Not the initial cost of getting them loaded when new, but the ongoing cost of getting them reloaded every time I have a flat. I have some pretty rough land with metal junk everywhere from the previous owner; flat tires are a way of life. I just do all my loader work with the box blade on.

It also helps to not tear up my soft/wet ground when I'm mowing the field. Less weight means less compaction.

I plan on building a dedicated 3ph steel/concrete weight with a trailer hitch for doing loader work soon.

Again, that's just me; your circumstances and results may vary ;-)
